Valentine's Day & My current project

Ok so I know I said once that this blog wasn't going to be a big brag-fest about how wonderful my life and my husband is... but ok, just this once! Yeah my wonderful husband sent me a dozen roses on Valentines day, and to top it off they were the same colors we used at our wedding over 5 years ago! The best part was the card that was with it. Anyway since this blog is kind of like my journal I thought I better document what a great guy my husband is!
And this little beauty is my current sewing project, ok I vow to finish this one! I have a whole basket full of projects in my sewing room that I have started and not finished so that is my goal, to actually finish one. It started out as a runner for my island but I'm not sure about the colors. I think it looks kind of like Christmas colors? I don't know I asked my husband if it reminded him of Christmas and he just gave me this look like "What the heck are you talking about?" I have alot of black in my house so maybe I will have to make another one with black in it? Let me know what you think if it looks to much like a Christmas decoration or not? Ok so I know that sewing a simple Charm pack together is like a walk in the park to some but it was a pretty big step for me. After this I think I might tackle a block quilt? If I don't do it now while the weather is still crappy it won't get done until next winter! We'll see how the rest of this project goes?
