CONGRATS!

What can I say besides, what a fun Christmas! I am so excited for my very best friend, she and her boyfriend got engaged this Christmas and we are so happy for the two of them, we couldn't ask for better friends! SO CONGRATULATIONS to the both of you!

And well on the flip side I am sOO sore from playing the wii for the past two days with my family, that thing is hilarious... It's probably the only time your going to see my 52 year old dad beat all of us kids in tennis, golf, & bowling (oh and the boxing pretty sure that's why I'm so sore). Well just thought I would check in and share my fun news. I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

It's getting to be that time!

Ok, so yeah I am the queen of procrastinating but hey at least now I have some presents wrapped & under the tree-yay for me! And I did actually send SOME cards out this year not as many as I had hoped but at least Fillmore Plumbing got there cards sent out. Yes I do still have 2 more gifts to buy, sad I know with only 6 days to go until Christmas. Don't you worry seeing how I am a pro at procrastinating and coming up with a solution right at the very end it will get done I assure you. Maybe I will even bake something before Christmas,uh maybe not? I always have these grand ideas about neighbor gifts, crafts and things I want to get done before Christmas, like organize all of my closets. Do you think any of it gets done, NO. Well to all of you super mom's out there with fairytale lives that get everything & then some done before Christmas-you go because my life just doesn't allow it. Maybe if I spent less time writing on my blog I could, but ehh, this is way better than organizing or cooking! So good luck to those of you whom are like me and like to save everything for the last minute!

jUst OuR LuCk!

Yeah I know this doesn't look good... So this is what happens when you put the e-brake on and you think it works but it obviously doesn't. My husband & Hyrum got home from work and had to move some equipment out of the garage so they could pull the truck in and in the meantime the truck managed to roll down our driveway and into the ravine in front of our home. And instead of just going straight back it had to turn and go in the worst possible spot. Had it been 10 ft the other way it wouldn't have looked like this. So yesterday we spent all morning trying to get it out, I guess that is one perk of your father owning a construction company, and your neighbor owning a Auto shop, my dad brought down a back-hoe and our kind neighbor brought his tow-truck and between the two of them they managed to get the truck out with minimal damage. A big THANK YOU! goes out to all of our friends & family that came down to help. Oh and don't worry no one was injured in this little accident. You know the funny thing about my small town I love so much, is when something happens like that it spreads like wild fire, you wouldn't believe the people driving by to check it out. But you know that is just our luck!

My new passion

Ok I have been trying to broaden my horizons in the "craft" area. So I thought I would try my hand at jewelry making, and well like most things I try, I am addicted. I have had so much fun making these watch bands and as an added bonus they are selling like hot cakes. I can't make them fast enough! It all started when I had a TON of people come in my store and ask if I sold watch bands, at the time I didn't so I figured heck why not! And I've been trying the sewing thing to, seeing how my husband gave me a sewing machine last year for Christmas and I think I've used it maybe 4 times and 2 of those times it was on paper. I think I could enjoy sewing, if I was a little better at it and if I had a little more patients... as for right now I will stick to what I know.

Winter Wonderland

It's so nice to actually have snow this close to Christmas! I was kind of getting the blues "How can it be Christmas in 11 days it hasn't even snowed yet!" Well somebody must have been listening because this afternoon it really hit us hard and it's still coming down out there. I thought my little tree on my porch looked so cute with it's branches all covered in snow. I apologize for the poor picture but I wasn't about to take my nice camera out in the snow storm so just use your imagination! I guess I will go walking in a winter wonderland off to our friends house for our poker night. Happy Winter!

'Tis the Season

'Tis the season to send a beautifully handmade Christmas card to well everyone it seems! I've been busy making 50 of these beauties to send out to family, friends & well business acquaintances. Actually I can't take all of the credit half of them came from my stores (Country Croppin) fun little card club. It's been pretty handy, members make 11 of the same card, drop them off, I divide them up and then members pick up 11 different cards and viola you have 11 different cards to send to people you love. Now if I can get these all addressed and mailed before Monday I will be doing good. After doing that I might think about wrapping some presents and putting them under the tree, it looks pretty sad, no presents under a Christmas tree is a pretty sad sight.

WTF???

Ok so I just spent like the last two hours trying to get my header the way I wanted it. I always thought myself to be pretty computer literate but freak that was a joke. It's a good thing my husband is pre-occupied with the NFR (National Finals Rodeo) so that he hasn't noticed I've spent most of the night "blogging" I just started today and he already thinks it's unnecessary to spend that much time on a computer, which he is right but he is very old fashioned, I think it's unnecessary spending that much time herding a bunch of cows off of a mountain to but do you think that is going to stop him from doing what he loves, no. So I will continue to do what I think I might love to much. Even if no one reads this darn thing I love writing and I'm way faster on a keyboard than I am with a pen in my journal.

It's starting!

Ok-so I told my self I was never going to start one of these but one of my friends kind of talked me into it. I see this as an opportunity to have my little online journal-yay! And lets just get one thing straight right off the bat. This IS NOT going to be just another brag fest about how wonderful my life is or how beautiful my children are-oh wait I don't have any children! And just like my title my life is not a fairytale and I don't intend on it being one, nor do I wish to make anyone think that it is. So to all you stay at home mom's out there stop bragging about your wonderful lives, it kind of makes you look silly. This is just an outlet for me to write about my daily adventures and well write some more. Enjoy...
