Finally Organized!

Ok I have finally organized my craft room, I know gasp!!! It took me a while to find a system that I could work with after trying and failing several times, I think this might be the time I keep it organized. I know to all of you it might look like a cluttered mess still but it works for me. And I've finally come to realize that it's just not going to look like something out of pottery barn, you know those pictures that show like a laundry room and the detergent is even in pretty boxes and there isn't a speck of laundry to be found... Yeah not happening here!
I've found that if you can set aside just one corner of your home for scrapbooking or sewing you will be more likely to do it. If you only have an hour to work on your scrapbooks you don't want to spend that time dragging all of your product & tools out onto the kitchen counter. So here is a piece of advise to those that would like to take up a hobby but can't find the time. FIND A CORNER FOR YOUR HOBBY AND LEAVE IT THERE!! This way in between cooking dinner and throwing another load of laundry in the washer you can sit down for 10 min and work on that scrapbook layout that you've been dying to finish without spending the time to drag out the mess. I know you might be thinking I don't have any room for that, trust me I've been there even if it's a t.v tray in the coat closet, you will get more done this way. If you need organizing ideas or tricks feel free to leave me a comment or question, I will try and help!

The Teaser!

My husband & I and our friends went for an afternoon ride on the desert this Saturday, and it was SOOO nice! I took this picture just as we turned off to Notom. For some reason I have a thing with photographing rainbows. If you look close you will see what looks like dirt on my lens but it's actually a flock of birds. We stopped for a minute and when we stepped out of the truck the thermometer in the truck said 54 degrees! That is freaking warm compared to what it has been. It was so nice to be outside and actually be warm. It made us all so excited for Spring & Summer. It was just a teaser for Spring and now today it is trying to snow, not fare I am so ready for Spring! We had so much fun just driving around and playing in the mud. At times it felt like a guided tour because my husband knows that place like the back of his hand and had to tell all of us what land mark this was and what was on the other side of that draw... At least the trip gave me some glimpse of hope that it might actually warm up some day!

I DReAD this time of year!

I'm sure I'm not the only one that hates tax time the benefits are great but the hassle is BS! It shouldn't be so hard to get back the money which you've already earned and the government has had there grubby mits on all year! I love that you have to earn it twice... Between the cold & snow and then you throw W2's and quarterly returns on top of that I need some serious R&R!! I will be so happy when our taxes are filed and all we have to do is wait for the return and it better be a good one because "JOE" the plumber wouldn't mind a bail out either! And then you hope you've dotted all your i's and crossed all your T's because if you haven't then watch out for the audit right. I love, love, love this time of year!!

My title & picture

So I have no idea why I decided it would be cool to put the picture of the elk as my title-way cool I know! But as for right now that is what it's going to be. Until I find a cutesy valentine picture to put there your going to have to look at elk-I know you might be a redneck if, right...

Tubing & Freezing, mostly freezing!

As you can see I look like a dork all bundled up but at least I didn't get frost bite right! Saturday we went tubing on Forsythe it was fun but WAY to cold to be tubing. The fun only last for about an hour and then we said OK this is enough.

The ice isn't as forgiving as snow when you fall off the tube at a high rate of speed but it does make the tube glide a lot smoother and faster. We all came home with a few bumps and bruises!

Well I'm glad we ALL looked like dorks bundled up like Eskimo's! It was fun, we just picked one of the coldest days of the year to go! If Ashley & I can help it we will make our men take us again, we always feel like we've waisted the winter if we didn't get a few snow trips in...

HaPpY NeW YeAR!

Well we started New Years Eve off in Richfield with Bowling & dinner, which was way fun I haven't bowled since I lived in Cedar. We made a little competition out of it girls against boys, needless to say the boys won, they took it WAY to serious. As you can see us girls spent most of our time giggling & taking pictures.

Then back to our home to finish the night off, where things got a little CRAZY! It was one of those parties where you start off by inviting just a few friends and your sisters and then by the end of the night, there friends and there friends friends show up. It makes me really nervous for my home when you get all the crazy people in it at once...
And here is how the night ended, playing guitar hero on the Wii (Ok, well it pretty much was played all night long!) As you can see from the picture my house looks like a disaster. At the time of purchase I thought those little confetti poppers would be so fun, they weren't as fun the next morning when it took Ross & I like 2 hours to sweep & vacuum all of it up. But like every New Years we all seem to have WAY to much fun!

I'm excited for 2009 the future is looking bright and I look forward to doing so many fun things with my family & friends. Now to start on that list of New Years Resolutions that well seems to never get finished. Best of luck to you all in 2009!
